The Division has established a stat-of-the-art Local Area Network (LAN) of approximately 200 nodes. The services provided to the users include high speed internet access, separate email accounts for inter-office and external communication, access to central data bank, printing, scanning, PIDE Library's bibliographic database searching and video conferencing.
Currently PIDE has more than 150 computers and laptops connected to the LAN. Wireless access to the LAN is also provided by installing Wireless Access Points at various locations within the campus. Each class room is equipped with a multimedia projector.
The ICT Division has recently provided the connectivity of the Pakistan Education & Research Network (PERN) and On-line Lecturing and Net-Meeting using IP-based Video Conferencing through Higher Education Commission (HEC). Uninterruptible 24 Hours Power Supply is provided at the campus by installing several UPS and a Generator.
MS Office, GAMS, SPSS, STATA, SHAZAM, TSP, EViews, Ms Project etc are some of the mostly used software at PIDE. Other software may also be arranged for student and researcher on demand. The Division staff is always available for troubleshooting any ICT related problems.
