PIDEAN’S Flood Relief Activities in Southern Punjab PDF Print E-mail

The PIDE has completed the third phase of helping the needy people in the flood affected areas of Southern Punjab. In the final phase, the team emphasized on the rehabilitation of small cottage businesses in remote villages of Muzaffargarh by distributing limited cash amount for purchase of  animals, poultry, and small tools to establish their businesses in respective villages.

On October 09, 2010 the volunteer team visited: Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Kala Sher, Tounsa Shareef, Dera Deen Panah, Notak Pull, Notak Sikhani, and Basti Ahmadani, the field work lasted for three days. The team handed over sewing machines to poor women, and items required in local barber’s shop. The flood affected people are very grateful to have your support at their doorstep in the harsh moments of their life.

The team has also delivered life saving medicines on the demand of EDO health Muzaffargrah. This volunteer work was made possible by generous donation from the staff members, students and friends at PIDE.
