Job Title: Computer Operator / Assistant

Job Summary

The Computer Operator manages and updates examination data, ensuring secrecy, accuracy and integrity. Responsibilities include operating examination software, troubleshooting technical issues, preparing documents, and maintaining digital records. The role also supports online examination platforms, ensures data security, and coordinates with IT for system updates. The Computer Operator works closely with the examination team to ensure smooth exam processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Input, update, and maintain examination-related data in the system.
  • Ensure the secrecy, accuracy and integrity of data entered into the examination database.
  • Operate and manage examination software and systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to examination software and hardware.
  • Prepare and format examination-related documents, including admit cards, result sheets, and reports.
  • Assist in the printing and distribution of examination materials.
  • Provide technical support to the examination department and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of online examination platforms.
  • Maintain digital records of examination-related activities and data.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of examination data.
  • Work closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller of Examinations to ensure smooth examination processes.
  • Coordinate with IT staff for system updates and maintenance.
  • Follow institutional and regulatory guidelines for data management and system operations.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation as required.
  • Perform any other task assigned by the competent authority of PIDE

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master Degree (16 years) with 2nd Division / B-Grade in a Computer Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Physics / Economics from HEC recognized institution.
  • 02 experience in the field of data processing including 01 year’s practical experience as a Computer Operator on a Computer Installation.
Age: Maximum 35 Years
