Job Title: Deputy Director (QEC)

Job Summary

The Deputy Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) will support the Director (QEC) in leading and managing the PIDE’s quality assurance and enhancement initiatives. This role involves assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure academic and administrative excellence in alignment with national and international quality standards. The Deputy Director will work closely with academic and administrative departments to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance and Enhancement
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to assess compliance with quality standards.
  • Support the preparation for external accreditation and quality audits (e.g., HEC, international accrediting bodies).
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs, teaching methodologies, and learning outcomes.
Collaboration and Coordination
  • Work closely with deans, department heads, and faculty to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry partners, and other universities, to enhance quality standards.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and seminars on quality assurance practices.
Research and Development
  • Conduct research on emerging trends and innovations in higher education quality assurance.
  • Support the development and implementation of initiatives to enhance student learning experiences and outcomes.
  • Promote the use of data-driven decision-making for quality improvement.
Data Collection and Analysis
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to academic and administrative performance.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on quality assurance activities for the Director and senior management.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of quality assurance metrics and benchmarks.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of periodic reports on quality assurance activities to the Director and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality assurance processes, audits, and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure timely submission of data for national and international rankings and accreditations.

Qualification & Experience

  • MS/M.Phil (18 Years) with 2nd Division / B-Grade in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Management Sciences, Administrative Sciences, or a closely related field from an HEC-recognized university. PhD will be an advantage.
  • Additional qualifications in quality assurance, higher education management, or related fields will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education, with at least 3 years in a role related to quality assurance.
  • Proven experience in supporting quality assurance frameworks and processes.
  • Familiarity with national and international accreditation processes e.g., HEC, AACSB, ABET, etc.).
