Job Title: Director (QEC)

Job Summary

The Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) will be responsible for leading and overseeing the PIDE’s quality assurance and enhancement initiatives. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures to ensure academic and administrative excellence in alignment with national and international quality standards. The Director will work closely with academic and administrative departments to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance framework for the university.
  • Align QEC objectives with the university’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
  • Provide leadership in the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines for quality enhancement.
  • Stay updated on national and international quality assurance trends and incorporate best practices.
Collaboration and Coordination
  • Work closely with deans, department heads, and faculty to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry partners, and other universities, to enhance quality standards.
  • Organize workshops, training sessions, and seminars to build capacity in quality assurance practices.
Research and Development
  • Conduct research on emerging trends and innovations in higher education quality assurance.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance student learning experiences and outcomes.
  • Promote the use of data-driven decision-making for quality improvement.
Quality Assurance and Enhancement
  • Oversee the implementation of quality assurance processes across academic and administrative departments.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to assess compliance with quality standards.
  • Facilitate the preparation for external accreditation and quality audits (e.g., HEC, international accrediting bodies).
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs, teaching methodologies, and learning outcomes.
Reporting and Documentation
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on quality assurance activities to the Vice Chancellor and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of quality assurance processes, audits, and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure timely submission of data for national and international rankings and accreditations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A PhD in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Management Sciences, Administrative Sciences, or a closely related field from an HEC-recognized university .
  • Additional qualifications in quality assurance, higher education management, or related fields will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in higher education, with at least 5 years in a leadership role related to quality assurance.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing quality assurance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with national and international accreditation processes of HEC.
