Job Title: Warden

Job Summary

The Warden is responsible for the overall management, discipline, and welfare of students in a hostel or residential facility. This role ensures a safe, secure, and well-maintained living environment while addressing students' personal, academic, and disciplinary concerns. The Warden acts as a mentor, enforces institutional regulations, and fosters a positive and inclusive residential experience.

Key Responsibilities

Student Welfare & Discipline
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and supportive living environment for students.
  • Enforce hostel/institution rules and regulations while addressing disciplinary issues.
  • Mediate conflicts among students and promote a culture of respect and responsibility.
Health, Safety & Emergency Response
  • Ensure students’ health and well-being by coordinating medical care and counseling services.
  • Handle emergencies, such as medical incidents, security threats, or fire safety drills.
  • Implement safety protocols and conduct awareness programs on hygiene and well-being.
Health, Safety & Emergency Response
  • Maintain records of student behavior, disciplinary actions, and hostel-related incidents.
  • Prepare reports for management regarding hostel activities and student concerns.
  • Communicate hostel policies and updates effectively to students and parents (if required).
Hostel Administration & Facility Management
  • Oversee hostel facilities, ensuring proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security.
  • Manage room allocations, student records, and attendance registers.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, security, and housekeeping teams for smooth operations.
Student Engagement & Mentorship
  • Act as a mentor and counselor for students, addressing their personal and academic concerns.
  • Organize extracurricular, cultural, and recreational activities to promote student well-being.
  • Act as a bridge between students, faculty, and administration to resolve issues effectively.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master Degree in Social Science (2nd Class / B-Grade).
  • 2 year’s experience in Student Welfare, administrative or Hostel Management.
Age: Maximum 45 years
