Omer Siddique
About Me
Omer Siddique has nearly 25 years of experience in economic research. He holds MPhil and MA degrees in Economics from The New School, New York, an institution recognized for its heterodox and critical approach to economics and the social sciences. His research focuses on the determinants of economic growth, development, and productivity. He has also contributed studies on domestic commerce, petroleum sector marketing and retail margins, civil service compensation in Pakistan, costs of tobacco use and taxation in Pakistan, and economic demography. His broader interests extend to the history of economic thought and social and cultural determinants of socioeconomic behaviour.
