Muhammad Ajmal Kakar
About Me
Mr. Ajmal Kakar holds an M.Phil. in Development Studies from the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Islamabad. His research focuses on informal border trade, migration, Afghan refugees, the economics of education, costonomics, and sustainable pensions. He has also led and contributed to various national research projects.
His research supports inclusive and evidence-based policymaking in areas such as Pak-Afghan and Pak-Iran border trade, Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) with Afghanistan, sustainable pensions, education, and migration. Mr. Kakar has also served as Joint Secretary of the Pakistan Society of Development Economists (PSDE).
