About Me
Nabila Kanwal is a research fellow at the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics. My research focuses on public health systems, social protection, child well-being, nutrition policy, and poverty dynamics, with a growing interest in water health linkages and the intersection of health and economic development. I led and co-authored numerous policy papers, working papers, and national reports in collaboration with development partners, including UNICEF, WHO, and the Asian Development Bank.
My expertise spans health and nutrition policy, gender economics, forestry economics, and poverty alleviation, combining rigorous qualitative and quantitative research methods. In addition to my research portfolio, I serve as the institute’s lead resource for CSPro and SurveyCTO survey tool development, with extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale household and panel surveys. Proficient in Stata, SPSS, and R, I integrate advanced analytics with innovative field data collection systems to deliver evidence-based insights for policy and planning.
