Job Title: Media Officer

Job Summary

The Media Officer will manage and coordinate all media and communication activities to promote the Institute’s image and programs. The role involves preparing press releases, handling media relations, and managing digital and social media platforms. The officer will ensure consistent messaging across all channels and respond to media inquiries effectively. Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills are essential for this role.

  • The Media Officer will develop and execute social media strategies, oversee content creation, and manage the media team. He/She will increase PIDE’s reach and engagement, plan media campaigns, and ensure timely content publishing across multiple platforms.
  • The Media Officer will also manage PIDE’s social media presence across all digital platforms, and support media-related activities. Will be responsible to document events, and collaborate with students and alumni for promotional campaigns.
  • He/She will also be responsible for Media archives, and supervise the post event editing and graphic designers.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Master’s degree (16 years) in Media Studies, Journalism, Communication, or related field from an HEC recognised university/institute.
  2. 03 years of experience in social media management, content writing, and event documentation.
Age: Maximum 40 years
Core Competencies

The candidate should have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

  • Handle LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram for PIDE.
  • Develop and schedule engaging posts to maintain online presence.
  • Draft social media posts, event reports, and press releases.
  • Record and document key details from events such as conferences, webinars, and book launches.
  • Support the Communication Expert in media-related activities, including
  • article reviews and pre-press releases.
  • Scan newspapers for PIDE-related news and statistical references.
  • Collaborate with PIDE students and alumni for promotional campaigns and success stories.
