Job Summary

The Web Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and management of the organization's web presence. This includes managing web content, designing user-friendly interfaces, and ensuring the performance and security of the website.

  1. Oversee the development and maintenance of the organization’s website(s). Develop and implement web strategies to improve user experience.
  2. Ensure website functionality, security, and performance.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to update and manage web content
  4. Manage website analytics and monitor web traffic and performance.
  5. Provide technical support and guidance for web-related issues.
  6. Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for web development services. Stay updated with the latest web technologies and trends to suggest improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Master’s degree (16 or 18 years) in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field from an HEC-recognised university.
  2. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Age: Maximum 40 years
Core Competencies
  1. Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and updating institutional websites and web portals.
  2. The Web Manager must possess a blend of technical and strategic competencies, including proficiency in web development, content management systems (CMS), SEO, analytics, and cybersecurity.
  3. Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles with the ability to apply best practices to create user-friendly and responsive websites.
  4. Strong project management and data-driven decision-making skills to align web initiatives with organizational and business goals.
  5. Develop and maintain dynamic WordPress websites using JetEngine & Crocoblock, including API integrations and custom development, with strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, React, and database management (MySQL).
  6. Configure, deploy, and manage Plesk-hosted DigitalOcean servers via SSH.
  7. Implement and manage media offloading solutions using S3-compatible storage and CDN integration.
  8. Experience with SEO, web design, UX/UI principles, and responsive design.
