Introduction
Established in 1957, The Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) has transformed itself into Pakistan’s premier research institution. Over the past 61 years, PIDE has earned an enviable reputation nationally and internationally for the robustness of its research.
Since being granted university status in 2006, PIDE’s mission has evolved further. It provides world-class quality education in an excellent learning environment. Its research units produce quality research for academia and policymakers alike. Its research staff and faculty are trained from reputable international and national institutions, and its advisory committee consists of world-renowned economists.
Pakistan faces enormous challenges, and PIDE feels that new and fresh approaches to its issues are required.
