VICE CHANCELLOR - PIDE
The candidate should be:
- Pakistani National.
- PhD in Economics from a renowned HEC recognized National / International University.
- Quality research publication in HEC recognized National / International research journals.
- At least 15 years technical / academic experience including 07 years post-doctoral experience of working in senior / management leadership position in well reputed organization.
- Possesses outstanding and inspiring leadership with strong interpersonal and inuencing skills and proven academics excellence.
- Awards in the eld of Economics will have extra weightage.
General provisions are followings:
- Appointment will be on contractual basis for a period of 5 years as per PIDE Act, 2010.
- Age should not be more than 65 years on the closing date of application submission.
- Attractive package will be o ered.

- Part time, honorary, apprentice and internee experience will not be counted towards the minimum experience required.

PIDE established in 1957 is an autonomous research organization attached with Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives. It is devoted to theoretical and empirical research in development economics in general and on Pakistan-related economic issues in particular to help the government in making evidence based policies. In addition to providing a firm academic basis to economic policymaking, its research also provides a window through which the outside world can view the nature and direction of economic research in Pakistan. PIDE is also a degree-awarding institution running Ph.D & M.Phil programmes in the fields of Economics, Public Policy, and Development Studies. PIDE is seeking a competent person for the position of its Vice Chancellor, who will also be an ex-officio Member (Research), Planning Commission of Pakistan, having the vision, skills, initiatives thinking and leadership qualities to provide direction to PIDE to become a globally renowned research think tank and educational Institute. The Vice Chancellor will be responsible for all the administrative, research and academic functions of the Institute as per provisions of the PIDE Act, 2010 and the guidelines issued by the Planning Commission.
