Publication Year : 1970

The recent developments in the agricultural sector of Pakistan, especially in the West Wing, have created great optimism for increasing food supply. The significance of increasing food supply should, however, be judged in relation to the rising demand for food during the process of economic growth and foreign-trade opportunities for food. Therefore, when planning for agricultural development to raise food supply, it is vitally important that the future levels of demand for food are accurately predicted.
