Islamabad Real Estate Regulatory Authority: An Evaluation

The National Assembly of Pakistan passed the bill of Islamabad Real Estate
(Regulation and Development) Act, 2020. The goal of the Act is to establish the Real
Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) that will regulate and promote the real estate
sector of Islamabad. The announced goals are:
(1) To ensure the protection of buyers’ interests,
(2) Bringing efficiency and transparency in transactions
(3) Regulating mega projects, and
(4) Resolving disputes swiftly.
