Research Economist

About Me 

Amna Diaz is a Research Economist at PIDE, with a strong focus on macroeconomic policy, social protection, poverty alleviation and Impact evaluation. She holds an MPhil in Economics and Finance from PIDE, where her thesis rigorously examined the effect of fiscal policy uncertainty on macroeconomic performance using a cross-country approach. Amna has contributed extensively to high impact research projects, including the evaluation of NPGP, studies on cash transfer dynamics, and mitigation strategies of NPGP beneficiaries to climate change. She has also played a leading role in survey design, field coordination and data analysis across diverse regions of Pakistan, applying both quantitative and qualitative tools.
