About Me 

Nisar Ali is a Staff Economist at the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE). He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Central Asia and a master’s degree in public policy. During his graduate studies, he studied at three prestigious institutions: the Graduate School of Public Policy at Nazarbayev University (NUGSPP), Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore (LKYSPP) and the Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management (KDI School). His research area includes E-governance, Digitalization, and Open Government and how the integration of information and communication technologies can bring efficiency in governance systems.

Primary Research Area:
E-governance, Open Government, Digitization and Public Service Delivery.

Secondary Research Area:
Growth Accounting, Migration issues and Education in rural areas of Pakistan

Regional Interest:
Singapore and India
