Usman Qadir

With over 20 years of experience in economic research and policy, Dr. Usman Qadir serves as Senior Research Economist at PIDE. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from SOAS, University of London, and has developed extensive expertise in institutional economics, political economy, and industrial organization. His work focuses on analyzing industrial dynamics and trade in developing countries, particularly the structural and political forces shaping economic outcomes. Proficient in econometric tools and qualitative analysis, Dr. Qadir has worked with government bodies and international institutions, leading complex research projects that address some of the major policy challenges in Pakistan and beyond.
