About Me
With over eighteen years of experience in program management, advocacy, and communication across diverse sectors including INGOs, PR & media firms, and business & research organizations, Mr. Qaisar has honed his skills in multitasking, communication, and interpersonal relations, all guided by a participatory learning approach. His work is regularly featured in prominent newspapers such as Dawn, The News, Daily Times, and Islamabad Post, where he writes extensively on family planning, sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), mother and child health, girls’ education, and other population-related issues. His efforts have significantly enhanced public awareness and influenced policy changes for better maternal and child health outcomes.
In addition to his advocacy work, Mr. Qaisar has established strong media relationships and organized numerous events and advocacy campaigns for international NGOs. He is adept at community mobilization for projects like PAIMAN and FALAH, funded by USAID. His expertise includes writing press releases in both Urdu and English, managing websites and social media platforms such as WordPress, BlogSpot, Twitter, and Facebook, and conducting workshops, focus group discussions, and community meetings.
Internationally recognized, Mr. Qaisar was named among the “120 Under 40: The New Generation of Family Planning Leaders 2017” by the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He has represented Pakistan in various international forums, including workshops on strategic partnerships in family planning in Indonesia and symposiums on Islam and demographic dividends in Central Africa.
Mr. Qaisar holds a Master Level Certificate in Technical Public Health Information from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and has completed 24 courses at the Global Health eLearning Centre, a joint project with USAID. Additionally, he holds a certificate from the Peace Operations Training Institute, USA, for completing a course on “Principles and Guidelines for UN Peacekeeping Operations.”
Currently, as a Media & Outreach Expert at the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), recognized as the national premier think tank, Mr. Qaisar manages all internal and external communications, drafts media statements, responds to inquiries, compiles publications, and plans events and press conferences. His innovative and strategic approach continues to enhance PIDE’s profile and effectiveness in the realm of development economics and public policy.
