About Me 

Dr. Amena Urooj is an Assistant Professor and Syndicate Member at PIDE with over 23 years of teaching experience in Statistics, Econometrics, Time Series Modeling, and Multivariate Analysis. She has served as Head of the Department of Econometrics & Statistics for six years, leading M.Phil. and PhD programs, and has supervised 6 PhDs and 22+ M.Phil. theses. An HEC-approved supervisor, she has also conducted numerous training and refresher courses. Her research integrates econometric modeling, forecasting, and machine learning using R, applied to policy issues like energy pricing, petroleum reserves, wage indexation, SDGs, and Social Discount Rate estimation, advancing data-driven policy insights.
