Junaid Ahmed

Dr. Junaid Ahmed holds a PhD in Economics from Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany, and brings over 15 years of experience in academia, research, and policy advisory. His work focuses on development economics, migration and remittances, trade policy, and regional integration, particularly in the CAREC region. He has worked for leading institutions including the Asian Development Bank, Korean Institute of International Economic Policy, OIC COMCEC, and the International Rescue Committee, contributing to initiatives on trade facilitation, economic corridors, and labor market integration.
Dr. Ahmed’s research has been published in top-tier journals such as The World Economy, Journal of International Development, Journal of Economic Integration, and Information Economics and Policy. He also serves as Co-Editor of The Pakistan Development Review and Editor of the Journal of Applied Economics.
