Center for Social and Behavioral Analysis (CSBA)

Introduction

The Center for Social and Behavioral Analysis (CSBA) at the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) seeks to serve as a leading platform for understanding and influencing human behavior to drive positive social transformation. By utilizing insights from behavioral analysis, social analysis and experimental sciences, the center will bridge the gap between research and policy implementation. Through interdisciplinary approaches, CSBA will create evidence-based solutions that enhance individual and collective well-being. The Center will also function as a repository of research on social and behavioral analysis. The group with its diversity in thematic areas, topical range, and academic expertise will enable craft policies in-line with individual and social behaviors.

The center will strive to become a premier research hub that critically examines contemporary societal challenges and shapes policies and norms by applying behavioral insights and analyses.

Our mission will be to explore the intricate drivers of human behavior and social structures, utilizing research, behavioral analysis, and experimentation to develop strategies that encourage positive societal change.
