MS Project Management
RATIONALE FOR OFFERING MS PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The Master of Science in Project Management is proposed in response to the growing demand for professionally trained project managers capable of effectively planning, implementing, and monitoring complex public sector and development projects. Rapid expansion in infrastructure development, governance reforms, digital transformation, and donor-funded initiatives in Pakistan has created a critical need for professionals equipped with advanced competencies in project planning, financial management, procurement, risk assessment, monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and project governance. The program is designed to address gaps in project execution, accountability, and resource management by integrating international best practices with practical knowledge of public sector development frameworks, including PC-I to PC-V processes. Through specialized coursework and applied research, the program will develop skilled professionals capable of improving project efficiency, transparency, sustainability, and organizational performance while contributing to national socio-economic development and strengthening institutional capacity in both public and private sectors.
